Strange Fruit

Southern trees bear strange fruit,
Blood on the leaves and blood at the root,
Black bodies swinging in the southern breeze,
Strange fruit hanging from the poplar trees.

Pastoral scene of the gallant south,
The bulging eyes and the twisted mouth,
Scent of magnolias, sweet and fresh,
Then the sudden smell of burning flesh.

Here is fruit for the crows to pluck,
For the rain to gather, for the wind to suck,
For the sun to rot, for the trees to drop,
Here is a strange and bitter crop.

    그렇지 않아도 요즘 Jena 6 사건 때문에
    또 좀 열받고 있는데...ㅡㅡ;
    Jena 6를 커버한 CNN 뉴스 크트머리에서
    Is nooze hanging a prank or hate crime?
    라는 questionaire로 인터넷 poll을 하라는 걸 보고
    밥먹다 목막히는 줄 알았다는 거 아녀요.
    아무리 뭣모르는 고딩들이라도 그렇지,,,
    더구나 그게 뭔지 모르는 고딩들이 그걸 나무에다 걸겠어욤?
    암튼 그런 questionaire가 오히려
    문제의 핵심을 더 잘 짚도록 도와줄 수도 있다고
    생각하면서도 자꾸 욱하고 치밀어올라서...+_+

      글쳐, 어떤땐 한걸음 물러나서 쳐놓은-쳐진 프레임을 벗어나보는게 중요할때도 만은거 갓슴다..
      이런노래는 이렇게 세상을 바꾸(려들)고,
      그런기사는 또 그렇게 짐짓 세상을 바꾸(어놀려고 들)고...=ㅂ=

      참..오타시구여, noose=교수형하는 목걸이밧줄 같은 그런 올가미..네여^^;;
